In this episode of Called to be Bad I get down and nerdy with Annabeth Roeschley about “Queer Abolitionist Theology”—which draws from black and liberationist movements working to change how we relate to power and punishment—in particular the prison industrial complex (PIC). Does any person deserve to be caged (incarcerated)? Can we reduce people to categories of good/bad? What if we queered (disrupted, expanded, reimagined) how we view justice, power, and punishment?
